Homemade Christmas Stockings

Well, I started my blog, and then I kind of didn't post... Oops.  I really have no excuses, other than I felt disorganized about it and didn't want to just post randomly.  I like organization, and knowing what I am going to write about each day...  Yeah, still not organized.  But I didn't want to keep neglecting the blog any further!  So here I am.  With a recent DIY!

Yesterday, I made my own homemade Christmas stockings!  This is my first Christmas with my boyfriend, Jasin, (our anniversary is the day after Christmas!!) so I wanted to do something special... I settled on homemade Christmas stockings.  After all, they can be something we can continue to use each year!  They were super simple and I found the idea from this blog: The Pless Press

This is how they turned out:

I made three.  One for Jasin, one for my dog, Buffy, and one for me.  If you look closely, there are silver pins on each stocking with our initials, J, B, & L.  :)  It really only took me 2 hours to finish all three of them, and I am seriously on a sewing kick now!

PS: If you are wondering what kind of hallway table that is - Jasin and I actually made it, and the bottom part doubles as a home for Buffy!  She is crate trained, and sleeps in there when I am not home :)  Unfortunately, Buffy has been staying at my parents' house for the past two months, and I wont be getting her back until early January when I visit my parents again.  Still, she deserved a stocking, too.

Question:  Do you like to make your own holiday crafts?  What has been your favorite?
